How to use your whitening strips
1. For best results brush your teeth before whitening. Otherwise you might be whitening plaque. Wait 30 minutes.
2. Dry your teeth before use. This will ensure better adhesion and closer contact to your teeth.
3. Apply the strips on your teeth, not your gums, and press them down to ensure even and close contact.
4. Wait for 30 minutes. Avoid drinking or eating while whitening.
5. Remove strips and dispose. Rinse away and enjoy.
6. Avoid eating and drinking coloured foods immediately after whitening as you are teeth are more prone to staining then, and this may compromise the results you have just achieved.

Use once daily for up to 14 days for optimal results. For maintenance, use 1–2 times per week. The durability of results varies depending on dietary choices—on average, they last 8–12 weeks.

Yes—avoid dark-coloured foods and drinks (coffee, tea, berries, etc.) for at least 1 hour after treatment.

It is not recommended to sleep with the strips on your teeth. They may slip off, and they are designed to be used for up to 30 minutes only—there is no whitening effect beyond that time.
Whitening strips only whiten natural teeth. They will not affect caps, veneers, crowns, or composite bonding. Do not use on orthodontic appliances or loose teeth.
Whitening strips can sometimes cause temporary white spots due to dehydration of the enamel, pre-existing uneven mineral content, or placing the strips on unclean teeth. These spots usually fade within hours or days. Elty™ strips use a peroxide-free, enamel-safe formula, minimising the risk of white spots and sensitivity.
Yes, teeth should be cleaned before applying the strips. However, do not use the strips immediately after brushing. After whitening, rinse your mouth with water and use a tissue if there is any leftover gel. Wait at least 30 minutes before brushing again, and avoid coloured foods and drinks for 2 hours
Hydrogen Peroxide & CarbamidePeroxide
- These are the most common whitening agents. While effective, they can cause gum irritation, enamel erosion, and increased tooth sensitivity if overused.
- High concentrations can be harmful if swallowed or misused.
Polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)
- This binding agent helps the strip adhere to teeth but has been linked to potential allergic reactions in some individuals.
Chlorine Dioxide
- Some low-quality strips use chlorine dioxide, which can severely damage enamel by dissolving the tooth surface over time.
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS)
- Found in some whitening strips, SLS is a detergent that may cause mouth irritation or ulcers in sensitive individuals.
Artificial Sweeteners & Flavourings
Some contain aspartame, saccharin, or artificial mint flavours that may not be toxic but can cause mild irritation or allergic reactions in some people.
